James Fishel is an experienced and dedicated juvenile attorney who has successfully handled more than 1000 juvenile cases. He has successfully represented children accused of crimes ranging from hate crimes, assault and battery, theft, robbery, gun possession, drug possession and sales, and DUI charges.
James Fishel is the Managing Attorney at Fishel & Fishel. James graduated from the University of Florida Law School in 1985. He did his undergraduate studies at American University in Washington, D.C. James is a member of the bar in California, Florida and Washington, D.C. From 1985 through 1989, James practiced law in Washington, D.C. In 1990, he began his practice in Northern California. James loves being an attorney and enjoys helping people solve complicated and difficult problems. He is a very friendly and comfortable person. Therefore, his style reflects his personality. He likes to make his clients feel at ease when entering the office. If he is not appearing in court for the day, you will often find him in his office blue jeans instead of a suit. His goal is to make the process of finding solutions as pleasant as possible.
Few attorneys have dedicated their practice to juvenile law. Many Criminal Defense Attorneys focus their practice on adult cases. Because of this, they often lack the experience to effectively represent children in juvenile court. Many rules and procedures in adult Court are different than Juvenile court. Sunny DeBord has been the Office Manager at Fishel Law Firm since 2006.
In 2012, Sunny completed Paralegal Studies at the University of California, Berkeley in order to receive her Paralegal certification from UC Berkeley. As a result of Ms. DeBord's accomplishment she is now Fishel Law Firm's Paralegal.
She is a delight to work with. She is polite, intelligent, and efficient. She is always full of energy and is always ready to start the day with a list of tasks to complete before we leave the office.
